John Henderson here.  I am semi-retired, a Vice President and mostly emphasize commercial lines insurance.  As the former owner, I have been with the agency for over fifty years.  What fun!

I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and have earned the designation of Certified Insurance counselor.  I am certified by several insurance company commercial lines schools and formerly taught boiler and machinery insurance and also loss of earnings insurance for our trade association’s education department.  My primary responsibility is to visit prospects/clients and assist them in planning protection of their physical assets.

Free time, anything with my grandchildren is wonderful!  I enjoy all events involving UNC Athletics.  My favorite reading subjects are American history and espionage.  I eat about anything but will jump on salmon and scallops.  I love my family and church, which keeps me focused on the really important aspects of life.

Hi! I’m Leigh,

I work as a commercial lines agent here at Crawford-Henderson Insurance.  I started here in June of 2003 in personal lines and moved over to commercial lines a few years later.  I completed my CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation in 2008 and have continued my insurance education yearly.

After finishing college in my home state of Massachusetts, I moved to Raleigh on a whim.  Shortly after, I found my career in insurance and got my insurance license in 2000.  Working at Crawford-Henderson has been like working with family.  I am thankful to work in a place that provides opportunities for growth, stays current with events and technology and is involved in our community.

I currently reside in Goldsboro with my two daughters.  We enjoy spending time together whether it be baking, movie/game night, day trips exploring new and old places or just relaxing at home together.

Hello, I am Paula,

I am a personal Lines CSR here at Crawford-Henderson Insurance, where I started out as an unlicensed agent in August 2003. Since that time, I have obtained my Life, Health, Property and Casualty licenses. I have met many wonderful clients who I also consider friends. I love that I get to lead them in the right choices to protect their home, cars and other assets and see them in our community with their families. I love working here and am thankful we have a reputation of taking care of our clients.  Goldsboro is my home and these are my friends and family who just happen to be clients as well.

I graduated from Eastern Wayne High School and got married shortly after. I obtained my Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 2008 and CISR Elite in 2018. I also continue taking courses and webinars to learn more about the insurance industry.

I have been married for 35 years and have two children and two precious grandsons who I love to spend time with when I am not working. I love chocolate (who doesn’t) and McDonald’s tea!  My hobbies include cooking, crafting and helping friends decorate for events when I am not at Crawford-Henderson. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your insurance needs as well.

Hi! I’m Heather!

I am a personal lines and life agent for Crawford-Henderson Insurance. I joined the Crawford-Henderson team in November of 2012. I obtained my Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in December of 2015 and my Life Insurance license in January of 2020. I enjoy having the opportunity to help people insure what is valuable to them, whether that be their home, car, boat, jewelry, or yes even their life.

I graduated from East Carolina University in July of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance. During my last year at ECU, I worked for a small insurance agency before the opportunity at Crawford-Henderson Insurance was presented. The opportunity at Crawford-Henderson Insurance was a perfect fit for me because I am able to work directly with my wonderful clients and to continue my insurance knowledge. It also allows me to work in Wayne County and be close to family.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In my spare time, I am an avid reader and tv watcher. I even named my dog, Arnie, after the Stephen King character in the book/movie Christine (which is the name of my car). Arnie was adopted from the Wayne County animal shelter and he is a boxer/lab mix. I also love walking the many NC trails with my boyfriend, Ruel.

Hi! My name is Travis Musselman,

I’m a Producer here at Crawford Henderson Insurance. I started my career here in May of 2018. I love being able to talk to new people and making lasting relationships through our services here at Crawford Henderson. I am constantly seeking new avenues through insurance to help expand our company and provide the upmost customer service for our clients.

I attended the University of Wilmington and graduated with dual Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Sociology. I obtained my Basic Law Enforcement Certificate after college and began working with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. I am still employed with the Sheriff’s Office as a member of the special operations Swift Water/ Dive Team. I am a licensed captain in North Carolina.

I enjoy hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors and near the water.

Hi! I am Lisa!

I am President of Crawford-Henderson Insurance and more importantly, co-worker to one of the most dedicated team of insurance agents you will find. I began my career in the insurance business in 1998 as an accountant and began working with clients in 1999. I purchased the agency in January of 2016 and have had the best mentor and friend, John Henderson, to guide me and give advice and helpful criticism as needed. We have a great team, which makes my job easy. I enjoy working with clients to help them find the right coverages at the most affordable price. I do not consider myself a salesperson. I am more of a problem solver and here to help in any way I can.

I graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in Pikeville, went to Wayne Community College and then on to UNC Wilmington and graduated with a BA in English in 1997. While working at Goldtex and during my first year at Crawford-Henderson, I took classes at Mount Olive College and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. In the insurance industry, I do not believe you ever stop learning something new. I obtained my CISR, CIC and CRM designations from the National Alliance and continue to take courses to gain more knowledge in order to benefit our clients.

When not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like going to the beach and taking the Jeep to the north end of Carolina Beach or heading to Charlotte to see my oldest son. I LOVE my one year old, full of life Morkie named Gypsy. I have recently taken up crocheting and hope to one-day make a baby blanket for a future grandbaby. Time will tell! ☺
